FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ON PROMPTING WITH PURPOSE: DESIGNING EFFECTIVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR LLM IN TEACHING, RESEARCH & ASSESSMENT

This Faculty Development Program focuses on the effective use of Large Language Models (LLM) in academic settings. The program covers four major thrust areas: 1. Design of discipline-specific prompt templates for academic use cases such as literature review automation and research question generation. 2. Prompt evaluation techniques including output scoring, hallucination detection, bias identification, and benchmarking. 3. Ethical and responsible use of LLM outputs, including plagiarism detection, citation practices, and institutional policy considerations. 4. Development of student-facing guidelines for safe and effective AI usage. The program is organized by Indus University in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Indus University, Ahmedabad and WIIA.
