This symposium is a knowledge exchange, performance and discussion day, highlighting practices, considerations, and communities on the fringes of the tradition. The event explores creative work on the boundaries of Irish traditional music, including experimentation, technology, and socio-political perspectives.
We invite proposals for participation from anyone working in these areas, whether outside or within academia. We encourage submissions on themes of improvisation, experimentalism, and the fringes of traditional music practice. Proposals may be submitted in English or Irish.
