International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV)

International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) is the global intergovernmental reference organization for the vine and wine sector. Established under the Agreement of 3 April 2001 and succeeding the former International Vine and Wine Office, the OIV brings together member states to promote scientific research, international cooperation, and harmonization of standards related to viticulture and winemaking. The organization develops technical standards, publishes global statistics, supports sustainable development, and facilitates knowledge exchange among governments, researchers, and industry experts. Its headquarters are located in Dijon, France.
